manga hair

A few more hours before we head back to the airport. We're just spending an easy afternoon wandering around and doing nothing in particular. We've made our way to a library. I don't know what this library is called, but it's pretty cool. It's all clean and smells odourless, which isn't really that great of a thing in a library because I like the smell of old books, but still, it's pretty nice and swanky. And yep, the internet is free, so I'll spend some time sitting in here typing nonsense.

This morning I got my hair cut in an asian place. My hairdresser kept chatting to other asian ladies in cantonese when she was cutting my hair. The women who she was talking to kept saying how mindful she looked when working, which was true enough. I didn't feel as though she was going to create a bald patch on my head because she wasn't paying attention. I didn't let on that I understood what they were talking about, and was hoping that they'd start saying weirdo funny stuff, like the time my sister was in an elevator with two old chinese men and they were saying "look at how dirty that girl's shoes are, she must be ill bred!", but unfortunately the ladies were very nice and only said nice things.

My hairdresser kept smiling to herself when she was finishing up with the haircut, and spent ages playing around with product in my hair. She seemed really pleased with her work, so I smiled and thanked her for the great haircut when I left. She looked cheery and wished me a merry Christmas. My head now looks rediculous, I look like someone who would go to the National Gallery of Victoria to see a manga exhibition. I think the first thing I will do when I get home is get rid of all of this product in my hair. Other than that, maybe the haircut isn't so bad... I'll see when I get home.

Oh, and we did see a manga exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria. It was pretty good.

We also saw Augie March play. They were also pretty good. Their supporting act made them seem even better. He was playing air guitar and doing mini scissor kicks on stage.

People are now staring at me because I've been on this computer for too long, and it's someone else's turn to use the internet. Home soon!
