There's been so much to see, do and pay for that spending a few extra bucks for a longer internet connection hasn't been part of my plans for the last week or so, hence the lack of new entries. And hence the brevity of this one.

Maybe it really is just the lack of a language barrier, but I've been enjoying the US even more than I expected to. Basketball games showing on TVs in restaurants, Dr Pepper easily available, books I haven't been able to find anywhere sit on the shelves in bookstores wondering why you're shocked to see them. I can see why people get sucked into this rampant consumerism thing so easily.

I'm basking in the relative warmth of California at the moment, after having just left the freezing cold of New York. Home in less than a week...
