entry number 1: part II
This blog's going to morph a bit from now. Previously I expected very few people to read my entries but there was always the off chance that someone would, so the blog was more of a personal thing that was kept somewhat in check due to it being out in the public. Now, I expect to use this thing as a means to stay in touch with you all as well.
Anyway, enough of that. What actually is interesting is that I'm writing this from a Youth Hostel in Kyoto. Yay! As my internet connection is about to run out, I won't write too much in this entry. I will say that I arrived in Narita ariport on the 5th, after the plane was diverted to Osaka due to a cyclone. Added an extra 4 hours to the flight as we could get off at Osaka. The trains were then delayed due to the wind... to cut a long story short, I arrived in Kyoto after dark with a very empty stomach, when I expected to be here by midday at the latest.
As of now, I've explored most of Kyoto by bike, I've had a few nice walks in the hills on the outskirts of the city (they have good walking tracks here), and I've had a day trip to Horishima.
Welcome to my (sort of) new blog :)
