plonk!

An interesting day at work today. I was leaning over the railings of one of the clarifier tanks, taking some measurements, when my two-way radio fell out of my pocket and into the drink. Apparently they cost $1500 each, and in any case, having something like a radio in the middle of the treatment process isn't particularly desirable. We had to drain the whole tank, which doesn't seem like a small deal when the tank's about twice the size of my house. Needless to say I didn't feel too great about creating so much hassle...
