new start
It all got a bit rediculous after my drink bottle leaked all over my new laptop, ruining the screen and rendering the machine just about useless. Maybe I'm just more prone to seeing positives when I'm comfortable inside, but it still felt like a nice turning point when I found out that I'd fooled HP into repairing the machine under warranty. Since then, there have been few external disturbances to push me around. The gym has really started to take an effect, and I've moved beyond simply feeling not sick, I'm starting to feel fit and strong again. Since hitting the weights, I've regained about 5 kilos in 3 weeks. My scars are no longer raw, the painful twinges are few and far between, the doctors are sufficiently impressed at my recovery. Perhaps this sounds like a Lleyton Hewitt style "come on!", but there was no way that I wasn't going to come out on top, no matter what happened.
I don't feel grey any more, I no longer feel like I have to fight through everything. Things feel like they've turned around, and I've got a new room to accompany this feeling. Kudos to my handyman dad for helping me get everything just the way I wanted. For the first time in a long time, my living environment actually feels as though it's accompanying what's inside.
My loft bed sits above my desk and shelves. White curtains let the light in during the day.

Green and wooden. I'm going to add a few more rocks to the ground (I've only two so far), as well as a few more organic bits and pieces. A cork board holds up my drawings.

I get a nice view of my bookshelf whenever I turn around from my desk. A little buddha statue stares at me if I sit on my meditation mat.

A few of the little details...
